A tiny, private island in Harney Channel on the south side of Orcas Island is the backdrop for this vacation home.
Designed for a family comprised of three generations, the home includes a separate guest bedroom wing with special bunk beds for the grandchildren.
The house was set up on a rocky knoll to maintain privacy from the ferries that pass close to its shore.
A variety of wood species were used throughout the home, connecting the home back to the tree-covered site. Cedar was used on the exterior, Fir for the interior woodwork, and Madrona for the flooring.
