This permanent exhibit is the largest, private bonsai collection on the West Coast. Open to the public, the collection rotates a display of over 75 species and examples of bonsai from Pacific Rim nations.

Located within a mature, conifer forest, the collection takes advantage of outdoor rooms for the exhibit, while climactically sensitive bonsai are displayed from a greenhouse. A courtyard also serves as a space for demonstrations.

 
 

Freestanding walls organize the outdoor display areas for the collection. These walls are simple and clean, intended to provide an unhindered backdrop for viewing the bonsai.

 
 

The arrangement of the walls obscures the view into the next exhibit, inviting the visitor to enter each display space.
