Stepping down a long slope to the shore of Lake Washington, a new house was built on an existing foundation.

 
 

A series of steel and wood trellises mark the entry to the house and provide a connection to the parking area.

The living spaces are positioned at the end of the slope greeted by decks to gaze at the spectacular view.

 
 

The roof expresses the natural slope of the site using a ‘butterfly’ roof that follows the site’s incline and turns up again at the water.
