Uwajimaya Bellevue Store Remodel

Bellevue, WA

Adjacent to Bellevue’s downtown core, Uwajimaya’s eastside store was redesigned to reflect an expanding urban population while maintaining their legacy of quality and traditional pan-Asian food and culture.

An updated main entry façade and signage welcomes shoppers into a bright, reorganized Produce department, leading to an expanded marketplace Deli and Bakery with new fixturing and greatly improved circulation.

The store’s primary Meat and Seafood departments were refreshed with kanji signage and new mechanical and refrigeration systems.

The Sashimi Island was redesigned to feature the high-quality seafood product that Uwajimaya is known for.

An existing wood trellis was expanded to highlight a curated beverage selection and lead customers along a streetscape of specialty shops showcasing snacks, housewares, and beauty products. Electrical fixturing and signage was updated throughout the store.
